Mnymosyna / Memorials

Memorial services in the Orthodox Church are offered as a prayerful remembrance of our loved ones who have fallen asleep in the Lord. Through these services, we ask God to grant them rest, forgiveness, and eternal life, while offering comfort and hope to their families. Our parish is here to assist you in preparing a memorial and to support you with compassion during this sacred time of remembrance.

If you need assistance with ordering the Koliva (Memorial Wheat) and the Prosphoro (Altar Bread) that will be needed for the Mnymosynon, our Ladies Philoptochos will be pleased to assist you by preparing these items and to set them up on the Sunday on which the Memorial will be observed.  Kindly contact Mrs. Eleni Spyridis at 416-807-7961 to order these items,  Eleni will also be able to assist you with booking Memorial Receptions in the Church Hall and organizing the Coffee Hour or the Makaria Memorial Luncheon after a Mnymosynon or a Funeral.
