Donations for Ukrainian Refugee Families

During the month of December, a Committee of Volunteers from Panagia collected Donations for the Ukrainian Refugee Families who are fleeing the war in their homeland and arriving in Toronto with nothing but the clothes they are wearing.  Our Parishioners generously responded to the Appeal of the Agapas Centre located at our neighbouring sister Orthodox Parish of Christ the Saviour Russian Orthodox Cathedral on Manning Ave.  To date, the Parishioners of Panagia have raised $2,015.00  in cash and Grocery gift cards!  Along with these donations, the Committee also collected used clothing and they delivered 30 bags of gently used clothing as well!  The Volunteers at the Agapas Center were overwhelmed by the generosity of our parishioners and they have asked us to extend their gratitude and gratefulness to all those who generously donated to this worthy cause! This is the message to our Parishioners they asked us to relay:

Please let the Parishioners of our sister Parish of Panagia know how much their generosity is appreciated and how much it means to the volunteers at The Russian Orthodox Christ the Savior Cathedral and Agapas Centre in Toronto to have your assistance. We could not have done it without your assistance!  Well done, Parishioners of Panagia!
