Panagia Welcomes Archbishop Apostolos of Canada to our Historic Cathedral for his First Pastoral Visit!

His Eminence Archbishop Apostolos made his first Pastoral visit to Panagia after his Enthronement as Archbishop of Canada on Sunday September 27th 2026! He was welcomed by the Cathedral Dean, the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Panagioitis Avgeropoulos, Fr. Demetrios Koumarellas and Deacon Spyridon Bozikis. At the conclusion of the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, the children of the Sunday School presented His Eminence with a hand-made Card that they all signed, writing on it "Your Eminence, Welcome to Canada and to our Church of Panagia!".  His Eminence invited all the children to come up and take a picture with him and the Clergy.  In his comments, His Eminence stated that he was over-joyed to make his first visit to the historic Cathedral of Panagia, since he has a special devotion and spiritual connection to our Blessed Lady!  May She continue to shelter and protect His Eminence as he begins his new arch-pastoral ministry in Canada.  The Matins and Hierarchical Divine Liturgy may be viewed on our Panagia YouTube Channel at: https://youtu.be/ovRhfzGt7gQ
