The Feast of Theophany!
On January 6th, the Feast of the Theophany of our Lord, God and Saviour Jesus Christ was celebrated with much joy and Liturgical splendour presided by Fr. Peter and Fr. Theodore! The high-light of the celebration was the Great Blessing of the Waters, in which the Baptism of Christ in the Jordan River was liturgically reenacted through the Baptism of the Cross in the Holy Waters! This event recalls our own Baptism by which we were united to Christ and His Church. We were illumined and chrismated as Christians so that we could become living lights to dispel the darkness in the world! This is why this Feast is also known as "The Feast of Lights"! May the Light of Christ always illumine our journey to the Kingdom which began on the day of our Baptism!
